10 Easy Ways to Stay in Shape with Baby Exercises


 
 
Having a baby is one of the most important things in a person’s life. Your child will need so much of your time, leaving you to wonder what was my life like before this baby! Below are some baby exercises to help you reclaim the old you. Try these baby exercises throughout the day and you’ll be sure to see change quick.

1) Tush Tightener

In order to perform this exercise, the mother should lie on her stomach, with the legs in a 90 degrees angle. The hands should be kept in front of the body, with the chin on top of them. With the legs squeezed together, the mother should push her feet up the ceiling and hold that position for at least 20 seconds. Repeat this procedure for at least 3 times.

2) Front-Carrier Squats

For this exercise, a front carrier is needed (and a baby, of course). With the baby in the carrier, the mother should lower her body, like she would be sitting in an imaginary chair. The person should lay down for as much as she can. This exercise should be done in 3 sets of 12 reps each.

3) High-Chair Lunges

In order to perform this exercise, the baby should be put in a chair or stroller. The mother should face the baby while putting the left foot back. The mother should bend her legs until the right knee is perfectly parallel with the ankle. From that position, the mother should slowly return to standing, while interacting with the baby. She can repeat this for 3 sets of 12 reps, for each leg.

4) Tick-Tocks

It’s already known that hips expand during pregnancy. Even thought the fresh mother lost her baby fat, her hips are still oversize. This exercise can help anyone with that problem. While standing with the feet spread and her hands around her waist, the mother should put her weight on her left foot, lifting her right foot at the same time. Repeat this procedure 10 times, for every leg.

5) Power Push-ups

This type of exercise is also called vertical push-ups. In order to do it, the mother should place her palms on a wall and step back about 2 feet from the wall. After that, she must lean to the wall, while bending her elbows. This should be done in 2 sets, 10 times each.

6) Triceps tightener

This is the best type of baby fitness, besides the actual running with the baby. In order to do it, the mother should sit on the floor, while bending her knees. From that position, she should rise a little, while placing the hands just before her hips. While maintaining the shoulders back, the mother should start lowering her upper body down to the floor, just like a reverse push-up. As usual, you should do this in 2 sets, 10 reps each.

7) Core move baby exercise

This is another exercise for the abs. The mother should lie on her stomach, with the baby near her. The arms should be extended at maximum, and the whole position should be airplane like. Even the legs should be lifted and the only part stuck to the floor should be the abdomen. This position is hard to maintain but it should be kept for at least 10 seconds.

8) Shoulders, Knees and Toes

This exercise is a great method to loose weight. The mother must lie on her back, with legs a little lifted, knees put together and with the baby standing on her chest. While holding the baby with both arms, she has to hold her breath and bring her legs to a 90 degrees angle. This procedure should be repeated for at least 3 times.

9) Alphabet abs

Even if it resembles a lot with the previous exercise, the alphabet abs will train a whole different muscle group. This one also requires the mother to lie on the back with the back standing on her chest. From that position, she should extend her legs in a perfectly vertical position, right till the ceiling. With the legs vertically placed, the mother should draw every letter of the alphabet with her toes, while saying the letters to the baby. This is a great muscle to mind coordination for both mother and baby.

10) Running with baby

Certainly a site favorite, running with a jogging stroller is an excellent way to keep in shape. If you are looking to shed body fat fast, try including speed intervals while out on your run. A short hill and a quick burst can do wonders for your metabolism and keep you burning calories through out the day.
